KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1  (Bernama) —  Pengurusan Aset Air Bhd (PAAB) proudly announces the appointment of Ir. Zulkiflee Omar as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective today, by the Ministry of Finance (MoF) Incorporated.

Ir. Zulkiflee brings a wealth of experience and dedication to this new role, having served as the Chief Operating Officer and Acting CEO of PAAB since March 19 of this year.

During this period, his leadership acumen and unwavering commitment to excellence have significantly contributed to the company’s growth and operational efficiency.

While assuming the CEO position, he will continue to oversee the responsibilities of the COO until a suitable successor is appointed, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity in PAAB’s operational strategy.

“His leadership, wisdom and commitment to excellence have been commendable and we believe he has the passion and capabilities to drive PAAB to greater success,” stated PAAB officials.

Ir. Zulkiflee holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina, USA, and boasts an illustrious career history.

Prior to his tenure at PAAB, he served as the Head of Project Delivery at OPUS International (M) Sdn Bhd, a renowned project management consultant under the UEM Group. With over 24 years of dedicated service at OPUS, he garnered extensive expertise in managing diverse engineering projects of varying complexities, both locally and internationally.

His adept management of engineering consultants and contractors has consistently ensured successful project outcomes.

Having commenced his journey at OPUS as a Senior Planning Engineer in 1995, Zulkiflee progressed through key roles before assuming the position of Head of Product Delivery in January 2020. Besides his experience at OPUS, he also had a decade-long tenure at high-profile organisations such as MRT Corporation and Petronas Gas Bhd, showcasing his versatile expertise across diverse sectors within the industry.

Zulkiflee’s multifaceted experience, combined with his strategic vision and proficiency in project management, positions him as an invaluable asset to PAAB as it navigates its future endeavors.
