PAAB Allocates RM80,000 for Maintenance of MMP Water Supply System

KOTA BHARU, Jan 23  — Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) has allocated RM80,000 to carry out maintenance work on the water supply system at Maahad Muhammadi Perempuan (MMP), near here, through its sustainable corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.

Its chief executive officer Abdul Hadi Ali said it involved upgrading of water tanks and pipe replacement in school buildings and dormitories, expected to be completed within the next three months.

“Water shortage problem that often occurs at the school will be solved once this repair work is completed. It is also hoped that teachers and students can use the water supply facilities at the school without any interruption,” he said in a statement today.
He said apart from that, the PAAB Prihatin 2021 presentation ceremony, officiated by the Minister of Environment and Water Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, was also held at the school today.

Also present were Kelantan PAAB manager Abdul Karim Mohd Zain and MMP principal Ahmad Pakhruddin Deraman.
In the event, school items including school bags, water bottles and face masks were distributed to the 300 students as part of preparation before the face-to-face school session to start once the Movement Control Order (MCO) period ends.
“It is hoped that this contribution will ease the burden of the parents who face financial constraint due to COVID-19 pandemic,” said Abdul Hadi.

PAAB sustainability CSR is one of the company’s initiatives aimed to ensure continuous assistance given to the target groups in the states which have signed the water restructuring agreement with PAAB.
