PAAB brings ‘BACK TO SCHOOL’ cheer to orphanage in Serkam

Melaka, 20 November 2014 – Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB), a wholly owned company under the Minister of Finance Incorporated, brought back cheer to an orphanage home from Kampung Pulai Barat, Serkam during its ‘Back to School’ and “Gotong-Royong” program, one of PAAB’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

The program was officiated by Y.B. Datuk Wira Hj Ahmad Hamzah, Member of Parliament (Jasin). Also present were Y.B. Encik Zaidi Attan, Member of Parliament (Serkam), Y.Bhg Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tajol Rosli Ghazali, Chairman of PAAB, Y.Bhg. Dato’ Ahmad Faizal Abdul Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of PAAB and Y.Bhg Dato’ Ir. Hj. Mohd Khalid bin Hj. Nasir, Chief Executive Officer of Syarikat Air Melaka Berhad (SAMB).

Approximately 60 volunteers from PAAB and SAMB attended the program and lent a hand during ‘gotong-royong’ activities at Kg. Pulai Barat, Serkam.

A total of 30 orphans aged 7-12 years, each received school bags and stationery sets.

The main objectives of this program are to help the children in their preparation to enter their upcoming 2015 school session as well as instil togetherness in caring for the environment. Corporate Social Responsibility programs will be carried out continuously in PAAB in its efforts to give back to the society and the environment in whatever way possible.
