YB Tuan Abdul Latiff obtained his Masters’ Degree in Al-Quran Interpretation and Studies from Al-Bayt University, Jordan. After graduation, he started teaching in various religious schools in Kelantan and obtained vast experience in education before embarking his political career.

After winning the 12^th General Election in 2008, YB Tuan Abdul Latiff took oath as Member of the State Assembly (ADUN) in Mengkebang, Kelantan and maintained his seat for two terms until 2018.

He was the Kelantan’s Deputy Exco for Youth and Sports in 2008 before appointed as Deputy Speaker for Kelantan State Assembly from 2013 to 2018. YB Tuan Abdul Latiff became a Member of the Parliament for Kuala Krai after he won the seat during the 14^th General Election.

YB Tuan Abdul Latiff’s experiences in the corporate field is also commendable as he was Chairman for few companies including Prokel Management Sdn. Bhd. (2010-2013), Kelstone Sdn. Bhd. (2018-2020) and Chairman for Seri Malaysia Hotels from 2020 to present.

On 9 August 2022, Ministry of Finance appointed YB Tuan Abdul Latiff as Chairman for Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad, replacing Kuala Nerus Member of Parliament, YB Dato’ Dr. Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali, who resigned on 30 June 2022.
