Nor Yati Ahmad was appointed as Board Member on 31 May 2022. She is currently the Accountant General of Malaysia, effective 18 September 2023. She became a member of the International Public Sector Accounting Standard Board in January 2023 as a nominee of the Accountant General’s Department of Malaysia (AGD) under the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia.

She is a director of AGD’s Accrual Accounting Implementation Team since 2020, and a representative of the AGD within the Malaysian Accounting Standard Board (MASB). In addition, she is a director of a Malaysian government-linked company. Prior to that, she served as an accountant with 16 years of experience at federal and state levels.

She has been a member of various task-based groups especially in accounting areas and is a member of several bodies such as the Malaysia Institute of Accountant (MIA) and CPA Australia; the AGD’s Government Accounting Standard Advisory Committee which issues the Malaysian Public Sector Accounting Standards (MPSAS); the Public Sector Accounting Committee of MIA; and the Islamic Accounting Standard Research and Drafting Committee for Waqaf, Zakat and Baitulmal.

She holds a Bachelor of Accounting from University Putra Malaysia and a Master of Accountancy and Finance from the University of Adelaide.
