The Pahang-Selangor Raw Water Transfer Project, currently being implemented by the federal government involves development of the 45 km long Raw Water Transfer Tunnel from Karak in the state of Pahang to Hulu Langat town in the state of Selangor for the raw water transfer with an ultimate capacity of 2380 Mld.
The Langat 2 Project is for the water treatment and distribution facilities for water transferred from the Pahang-Selangor Raw Water Transfer (PSRWT) Project for an ultimate nominal treated water output capacity of 2260 Mld.
In February 2008, Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) has engaged the Consortium of SMHB , Ranhill and KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd (CSRK) for engineering consultancy services for implementation of the Langat 2 Project. The consultancy services cover the detailed study, assessment, detailed design, tender, supervision of construction, project management and post-construction services for the Langat 2 Project.
